A real crisis is shaking the Congolese political landscape. The former Special Advisor to Felix Tshisekedi, Jean Claude Bukasa, is at the heart of a scandal that threatens to destabilize the nation. Indeed, Bukasa is accused of diverting highly important security documents, thereby creating a climate of uncertainty and panic within the Congolese population.
Within the National Security Council, cameras captured unsettling images: stacks of important documents leaving the building for an unknown destination. Bukasa and his close collaborators, notably Jean Julien, the CNS coordinator, and Kabasele, the finance chief of staff, are suspected of concealing this suspicious operation.
It is also alleged that Bukasa diverted dozens of vehicles intended for security services, to distribute them to his family and close friends. A serious accusation that casts a shadow on Bukasa’s integrity and his ability to serve the Congolese people.
Bukasa’s tenure at the CNS was marked by a significant drop in the production of analysis and security notes, which ended up displeasing President Felix Tshisekedi. Bukasa and his allies are also accused of having anticipated the payment of 30 years of salaries, with the help of the financier Kabasele, to the detriment of the country’s security and the Congolese.
Anonymous sources reveal that Bukasa has built two imposing buildings in Kinsuka while the operating expenses of the CNS had been diverted for several months. He leaves the head of the CNS leaving a country in total insecurity, in a lamentable security state. Many observers question Bukasa’s true intentions and whether these acts are not an attempt to destabilize the country’s security.
The Bukasa case raises many questions about governance and the management of national security in the country. The Congolese people deserve answers and immediate action to ensure their security and prosperity.
