The population of the sub-villages Bukole 1 and 2, located in the Bushumba groupement, Kabare territory, is facing a major crisis.
The water shortage that has been affecting these areas for the past four months is exposing the inhabitants to serious dangers in terms of security and health, according to the gathered testimonies.
Some community’s member think that the lack of running water in the communal fountains forces inhabitants to travel long distances to obtain water. This situation exposes them to risks of aggression, particularly during late hours, jeopardizing their security.
Faced with this worrying situation, the inhabitants of Bukole 1 and 2 are urgently appealing to the water management committee of Bushumba to find a prompt solution to this problem. They emphasize that water is a vital element, and its absence endangers the lives of the population.
It is imperative to implement immediate measures to ensure adequate water supply to Bukole 1 and 2, thereby guaranteeing the safety and health of the inhabitants.
