Mukuna stated that he has instructed the commanders of various police stations throughout the province to arrest any officers found intoxicated. He emphasized that it is unacceptable for police officers, who are responsible for ensuring the safety of people and their property, to be intoxicated, as alcohol impairs their ability to perform their duties effectively. Mukuna has taken strict measures to ensure that any intoxicated officers are arrested and brought before the appropriate authorities for prosecution. He called on the population to support his mission to restore peace and tranquility to the province and encouraged the youth of Nord-Kivu to join the Congolese National Police and contribute to the country’s security efforts in the face of foreign aggression.
